World Energy Consumption

Despite the enormous expenditures on wind and solar electricity production, they hardly contribute ANYTHING to the world energy consumption. In 2017 there were 341 000 wind turbines and as you can see from the figure below, the wind turbines hardly contributed anything (see the dark blue area above hydro power – light blue). The use of fossile fuel is the reason for the high living standard we have today in the industrialised countries since less work was needed to produce energy. Now, the industrialised countries refuse this cheap energy sources which is neccesary to raise the standards in the poor undeveloped countries.
